Kestrel Nest
Having lived in Ripon & explored every corner for over 20 years, it is safe to say that I never noticed this Kestrel nest in a disused & partially derelict old industrial building on the outskirts of the City. In the approximately 30 minutes, I was on location, I managed to capture over 500 images of these magnificent creatures but following extensive filtering & sorting, I managed to condense these down to 17. As far as I can tell, there are four young chicks and some of the images capture the adult parent feeding the young.
PLEASE NOTE: These images were taken using a professional series wildlife lens with a focal length of 600mm to avoid disturbing the birds or causing unnecessary distress.
If you happen to come across a nest yourself, please keep a respectful distance & keep the location quiet so not to disrupt breeding & nesting patterns.
