During the first week of September 2019, I took a trip, west across the country to Ormskirk. The purpose of my visit was supposed to be helping my brother set up his new university house whilst waiting for his new housemates to arrive. I may have got a bit distracted! Arriving in Ormskirk on Monday, I quickly settled in and planned the rest of my week according to my brother's schedule. On Tuesday, I decided to visit Liverpool for the second time and quickly found that it is an extremely friendly place with warm and welcoming people. Here, I concentrated on the Albert Dock area and created the Pop- Art pieces as shown is this gallery. Wednesday's itinerary led me to visit Southport on the Lancashire coast. Here I discovered a quaint Victorian town with a brutalist 1960's concrete monstrosity of a station & shopping centre plonked right in the centre of the town. With it being September and blowing a force 9 gale, it is fair to say that there were not many tourists brave enough to venture out. Visiting the seafront, I was surprised to see that they were setting up for the annual airshow, which before this visit, I never knew existed! Needless to say, I focussed again on the Pop-Art theme and created the other pieces in this gallery. Upon returning to Ormskirk, I had enough time to Explore and took a few photos of the town before returning home to work on other projects.
